Cicero Networks entra nel mercato del VoIP per cellulari e PDA wireless. Wireless Voice over IP (wVoIP) is the new buzzword these days and while Skype works for Pocket PC and delivers this functionality already, also some other players try to jump on the bandwagon... Cicero Networks has just announced their new wVoIP software for smartphones and it is using Windows Mobile smartphones with Wi-Fi to showcase it to the world. Cicero Networks Ltd., a developer of wireless Voice over IP (wVoIP) solutions, today announced the launch of the eagerly awaited smartphone version of CiceroPhone, converged VoIP/Cellular softphone. In addition, Cicero has also announced a new Call Continuity server, a major new enhancement to the Cicero Controller enabling seamless roaming between both Wi-Fi/GSM and Wi-Fi/CDMA networks. Using CiceroPhone, users can make and receive all of their calls � VoIP, Fixed and Cellular � though a single user interface on their mobile phone. Together with the new seamless roaming features delivered by Cicero Controller, operators can now deliver an always-on mobile service, whereby calls are optimally routed based on network availability (Wi-Fi/Cellular), cost and Quality of Service (QoS). The CiceroPhone smartphone client is being showcased on the recently launched Qtek 8310/8300, the first Windows Mobile dual-mode smartphones to come market. CiceroPhone smartphone client is available immediately for Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone and PDA devices. The Cicero Controller Call Continuity module is scheduled for release mid-December 2005.
